We treasure the land and her bounty.
We cook with passion and pride.
Food is our fire; we taste the life!
Onto the rooftop we scramble
So we can be heard, far and wide
We shout with joy, “This is my life!”
The life that we taste
Is the soil and the grass
And the hands that did work.
Taste the toil.
Stir the past and the far
In the food we create
Share the wonder of life
Food for soul.
